Zauberklang Festival
Founded in 2023, ZAUBERKLANG is an international chamber music series set in Kanton URI, the mythical and magical birthplace of William Tell, amidst the tranquil surroundings of the Swiss Alps.
Concerts take place in the beautiful and historic baroque church St. Peter und Paul, the ideal setting for an up-close and personal connection between the artists and the audience, creating an immersive and intimate experience.
The inaugural 2023-24 season featured performances with Marina Piccinini, flute, Andreas Haefliger, piano, together with guest artists Hilary Hahn, violin, Ian Bostridge, tenor, Avi Avital, mandolin and harpist Anneleen Lenaerts. Subsequent guest artists have included pianists Emanuel Ax and Anton Gerzenberg, cellist Alisa Weilerstein, the guitarist Sean Shibe, tenor Karim Sulayman, harpsichordists Jean Rondeau and Justin Taylor, the british vocal ensemble Voces8, composer Reena Esmail, Saili Oak hindustani singer, David Krakauer Acoustic Klezmer Quartet, and the Lenokoro and Brentano Quartets.
